Tangentially related: If anyone's ever worried about an infection but you don't want to go to the hospital, buy some FRESH garlic bulbs and eat 4 cloves a day. (The cloves are those little petals you pull off and peel, don't eat 4 whole bulbs.) Just chew it and swallow it. It'll taste like shit and burning, but there's a reason they called it "Russian Penicillin" in WW2.

Of course, everyone poor enough to already know this tip will immediately realize you're staving off an infection, because if you're eating enough, you sweat will smell faintly like garlic.

You can greatly reduce your garlic breath by chewing up a mouthful of iceberg lettuce, but spit it out. Don't swallow it. Lettuce has enzymes that neutralize garlic-smell, but they also neutralize its antibacterial properties.

I learned something today!!!!

Warzone has requested I add this to his review

Warpzone sez: I forgot to mention something important. if you nuke all the germs in your body with garlic, you're also nuking the bacteria in your gut that help you digest food. So you want to alternate between garlic and greek yogurt. If you get crazy diarrhea that looks kinda "unprocessed," use more greek yogurt. Flavor doesn't matter, but it needs to be greek. Greek yogurt has all the best bacteria cultures in it to promote digestion

Great happy NG fodder. :)

Nice. :) I like the melody, and the way you wove it into a larger work. The techno mumbo-jumbo that kicks in around 1:10 is nice and smooth because it's just what's expected. The same goes for the sudden quiet purity around 1:45. 2:00's almost a little too slow, but then it picks up again and the beat is great from there on out. All things considered, a nice perky techno song with some cheerful acoustic piano. Great for the credits in one of those epic clock crew blockbusters they release once in a while, or just a shiny pick-me-up on your playlist.

XenoxX responds:

Yes I like to start of a songs slow then speed up some then slow in the middle for a big finale melody then a slow ending. Its kinda a habit not sure why tho.

Thanks for the review!

No respect.

Man, kids these days. You try and take some punk kid under your wing, make an effort to try and encourage his creative tendancies a little bit, what does it get you? Nothin' but grief.

That's gratitude for ya. :P

John burns an evening to create, wait for it... yet another techno song! This one is a little short, but at least it's not a loop. It features a quirky, pulsating backbeat that reminded me of Battletoads before he decided the working title "crazyfrogishsong" wasn't good enough for the epic release. (Protip: never disagree with a teenager when street cred is on the line.)

I guess we can only wait and see if a major label would like it. In the meantime you and some of your friends from school can get together and read this review and go "pshhh" and "that's harsh." and then say "I know" to each other a lot until your bruised egos feel better.

(Here's a little tip you'll discover on your own in college: the secret to overcoming all angst is to stop talking about your problems and go eat pancakes. No sadness can persist in the face of pancakes at 3AM! Grades, girls, arrest record, it all goes away when you realize "Holy shit, it's way past my bedtime and here I am in a diner ordering breakfast. This is impossible! Life ROCKS!")

Father-of-Death responds:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! God damn dude!

You sir are amazing.

Lay off the pancakes.

Well, I guess TECHNICALLY those are games...

Okay, start with the bleepy sound effects of some really old games, like ASTERIODS and SPACE INVADERS and shit. Use those samples basically as insturments, along with some square waves, and for your melody, look to cheesy carnival games for inspiration.

Might make a good bit of background noise for a live-action movie ABOUT video games, or maybe you could play it during the credits of a humorous flash toon to REMIND people of video games, but I wouldn't call this song great music to actually go INTO a game.

Based on the author comments, I guess the title isn't meant to be taken seriously. It works as an icon, or maybe even a parody of video game music, but that's about it.

I have to say, though, it is fun in its own way, and I liked the echoey sounds that bounce back and forth between your ears when you listen to this with headphones on. :)

Awww, what the hell, I'm increasing the score I was gonna give it by 2 points, on the assumption that it's not meant to be taken straight.

Father-of-Death responds:

xD

this song is really! old!

So yea...

but umm thanks for the review! :3

That's some good solo pianist improv.

There were a few notes that sounded like slips, and I thought the one loud note near the begining felt kinda out-of-place. I'm assuming this is original music. If the artist was reciting a piece, I surely wouldn't know the difference. Overall it was good, but a little... too familiar. I would have liked to see a little more variety. Something a little more like Keiko Matsui.

jackie1188 responds:

Yes the loud note is not correct, in the sample i used theres an aprupt limit between the soft and the loud sample, so its difficult to always get the right velocity.
And of course this is my own work.
Who is Keiko Matsuri?!? Never heard of him.
but thanks for the rewiew!
