LOL! Accents!
"The one who could pull out the curse word..." heh heh. Classic. XD
Animation was great, too. You have a nice sloppy wacom style. Kinda reminds me of Bonus Stage in a way. I can't wait to see where this series goes from here.

I LOOOVE Bonus stage... I am somehow inspired by that series. And yep... I use a Wacom.
Great Sprite Movie.
Thanks for using something a little less familiar than Mario. I always loved the moves in Battletoads, but none of the fiction ever lived up to the potential of the games. There was a Nintendo Power origins comic that was middling at best, some other comics in even more obscure venues, then like five years after the games were old hat, a single horrible episode of a cartoon series on VHF... anyways, it was nice to see someone revive the series, and with the badass attitude intact, even! It warmed my old geezer heart. (30)
Gameplay-wise, I followed my gut when picking a portal, and my gut was right every time. :D Thanks for that.
There's only complaint I could thnk of: In real life, people have access to a wide variety of insults. I don't know anybody who just says "fag" over and over again and calls it a conversation. Other than that, great premise, great writing, great execution.
Saw it coming.
>_<
*sigh*
It's... let's call it well-paced. Um. Since your goal was clearly teen-movie gross-out factor, I can't fault you for your style. Even the hot chicks looked creepy and distorted. Despite what everyone says, it works well for the dark gutteral humor you were trying to convey.
I'd suggest you work on your aesthetics and seek out some voice actors if you ever intend to do an entertaining, feel-good toon, but I really can't agree with the crowd on this one. I mean, you were trying to make a gross toon, and judged in that context, I have to say you succeeded admirably in every step of the process, from character design to writing to art style to voices. It all contributed to the overall horribleness. Like Salad Fingers or something.
I can't believe I'm doing this...
Full points.
Now NEVER fucking do that to us AGAIN! >.<
Best monster evar
The Crocktopus is totally going into the next D&D game I DM.
CHALLENGE RATING: CROCTOPUS
It was great, the first time I saw it...
That's what I would normally say, but I think they might have polished it up a bit more. I don't remember the sound and the lighting being this good the first time around. Even so, it seems weird to have part 1 and 2 on the front page at the same time. Oh well, maybe it's been a slow week.
This seems a lot more polished than I remember it, so if you did make changes, good job.
Is he french or spanish or what?
It was pretty funny, especially the guy running around and mumbling into his mask during combat. I didn't find it as engaging as Meet the Heavy, though. Try re-editing it. Cut the guy's speech up, splice in a few close-ups of the wine glass or whatever, give it to us out of order like a heavily-edited documentary. A longer speech isn't always neccessarily better, which is probably why RL documentaries are chopped up so finely in the first place. Overall it's great, though, and you mostly captured the spirit of the ads.
Another great episode... when I first saw it.
Seriously, didn't you already release this episode? I've seen it before, and I'm pretty sure I saw it at Newgrounds, so what's it doing on the "new submissions" list?
I'm really looking forward to GTL. Can't wait to see what you do unplugged.
Nope, this is its first time on NG. You probably saw it on the site.
"Back then?"
I thought this was a parody of CONTEMPORARY video game ads. Have you looked at any video game shows "for the masses" lately? It's STILL like this. Oh, sure, TechTV might have a bigger budget but it's basically the same crap. Walk into any GameStop and look up. You'll find basically this exact same show playing on that annoying TV they have bolted to the ceiling.
I'd just assumed you picked the NES to exagerrate the fact that by the time anyone in the television industry takes notice of a video game, it's always some dinosuar that came out like 6 months ago. Guess I gave you too much credit for sarcasm. That or I didn't give you enough, and even your Author Comments were facetious. Hard to tell, anymore.
